Holby City star Joe McFadden has admitted to being "thrilled and terrified" as he signed up for the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing.

He joins Reverend Richard Coles, Eastenders actor Davood Ghadami, Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson, The Saturdays singer Mollie King, and This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford.

He's also appeared in Heartbeat, Take the High Road, The Crow Road and Sex, Chips & Rock "n" Roll.

He said that: "Strictly is one of the biggest, most entertaining shows on TV, and being asked to be part of it is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I'm thrilled and terrified about in equal measures".

On joining the dancing competition, clergyman Coles - the only vicar to have had a number one single in the United Kingdom - said: "Cometh the hour, cometh the overweight Vicar with arthritis in his knees".

After a small role in Casualty, Joe then landed the part of Raffaello "Raf" di Lucca in Holby City - a role he's played for three years.

The 15th series of Strictly Come Dancing will return to our screens later this year, but a date has not yet been confirmed.
