Jose Mourinho hints at central midfield role for Victor Lindelöf

The curtain rises. Premier League football is back and is about to consume our lives one game at a time for the next nine months.

"He thinks he can do more and wants more at the highest level, so we're having conversations and we're discussing the possibility of him to stay with us for the second part of the season".

The Reds have a positive record in opening weekends, chalking up some convincing and thrilling victories down the years - something Jose Mourinho's men will be keen to maintain against the Hammers. Not only this, but the Hammers conceded 33 goals on the road a year ago and facing Moruinho's new-look team may have come slightly too early in the season. It's a problem Armenian schemer Henrikh Mkhitaryan can help solve. They will come up with all the time.

"I considered throwing in Burnley but they made a fool me last season and I'm going to put faith in Sean Dyche's ability, but if they repeat their away form then they'll struggle". That's a big if though...

However, United will be up against a West Ham side who've also spent well this summer as they've snapped-up Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnautovic and former United striker Javier Hernandez so I'm expecting a tough game.

"Yes, we can win it", said Mourinho during his pre-match conference on Friday.

One player who will be excused for not scoring will be new signing Nemanja Matic, who has been at the club for less than two weeks but already looks like the stable defensive midfielder the team need to set Pogba free. Close, but not quite close enough.

'We are much better organised in the areas that support the first-team squad.

"He's a player of, I think, now 29 last week - 29 years old, with five years or so in the Premier League, lots of experience".

"I am not a hard person to work with, and I understand the reality of the market". The London Stadium hosting the World Athletics Championships means Bilic's side play United, Southampton and Newcastle away from home before Huddersfield's visit on Sep 11.

"The other 25 percent (of the transfer targets) will be another player playing from the sides". My dedication to my job is always at the maximum, even more now than when I started, and I believe at the end of the season we will see the results.
