And we are not talking about his fans in Tamil Nadu alone. The young star will be seen donning the cap of legendary Tamil actor Gemini Ganesan in the movie, and Savithri's character is being played by young actress Keerthy Suresh.

If the latest reports are to believed, the Malayalam sensation is all set to make his Bollywood debut in a film, alongside none other than Irrfan Khan and internet sensation Mithila Palkar.

The film is said to be a light-hearted comedy and will see both Irfan and Dulquer as friends on a road trip. Khurana has co-written the script with Hussain Dalal who was the dialogue writer of Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani. Earlier, Abhishek Bachchan was offered the role which will now be essayed by Dulquer Salmaan, but he opted out of the project as he could not provide dates.

Dulquer's father Mammootty has also been a part of a couple of Bollywood movies, having made his Hindi debut as a hero in Dhartiputra in the '90s. The shoot for his film will begin in September first week and locations will be the picturesque locales of Ooty and Kochi. Let's hope that the son has better luck.

Meanwhile, Dulquer is now awaiting the release of Bejoy Nambiar's Solo which will hit the screens by September. And yes, we also get a glimpse of Dino Morea, who will be making his debut in Malayalam with this film.
