Chelsea have spent big again in the summer transfer market, but Sutton believes a failure to meet the demands of a much sought-after boss could lead to an acrimonious parting of ways.

The buzz may have gone but the biggest question before the coming season remains whether two of the highest-profile managers in the world can deliver on all the hype surrounding them. We've spoken, they're happy with everything and, yeah, for me, I just want to concentrate now on getting fit, on getting ready for the new season and playing as well as I can. They still need a star man to pour in goals, though, as they're losing the 43 league tallies Lukaku registered over the last two years. "We didn't have full-backs and you have to buy full-backs", the Spaniard added.

But after a close-season in which both managers have invested heavily in new players, United are now Mourinho's team and City have been created by Guardiola. In a recent interview, he claimed that this transfer wasn't his choice.

Morata made 26 appearances for Real Madrid last season in La Liga, a lot of them as a substitute, with 15 goals and four assists. Following that banner year, the Premier League was represented in three of the next four UCL finals, but the well has run dry since Chelsea's unlikely run to the 2012 crown.

"Conte is a fantastic coach too, because he won everything at Juventus and has already won the Premier League in his first year with Chelsea".

In an off-season that has seen more than £1 billion (US$1.3 billion) invested in players, the rivals have accounted for more than a third of that spending.

Q Which player in the squad is critical to this season's success and why? Salah moved to Chelsea from Basel but failed to find a place in the starting XI and left for Roma after a season-long loan deal with Fiorentina. "We will maybe change one important player".

"The club was clever like that because we anticipated what we needed".

"I think they're in a real good position, the squad looks strong and I think how Rashford, Martial and Lukaku play will determine what happens", said former United defender Gary Neville. Sooner or later it's going to finish. We always had that.

Referring to his former clubs contributing goals from all areas, Mourinho said he hopes the team can ease the burden on the Reds' strikeforce in the season ahead to find other ways to win games.
