NJ team advances to Little League World Series

Fairfield American is going to the Little League World Series after defeating South Portland, Maine 10-0 to win the New England Regional tournament Saturday at Breen Field at the A. Bartlett Giamatti Little League Leadership Training Center.

Fairfield American Little League's bats broke loose once again, routing South Portland, Maine, 10-0 in the New England Regional final to become the first program in CT history to appear in three Little League World Series.

Holbrook is the sixth Ocean County team to make it to the Little League World Series, according to the Asbury Park Press.
