In June, during an interview with BBC Radio 1, Dave Grohl teased that the band's new album, "Concrete and Gold", has one surprise feature that he isn't revealing.

Now, while Grohl isn't revealing who that feature may be, ET Canada learned of another feature on the album.

Per ET Canada, Paul McCartney will be guesting on one track and playing drums, no less. We've known him for a long [time]. But in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Grohl walked back his phrasing, explaining, "This person is, I think, is more than [a pop star]". "He's a great guy", Grohl said. He sat on his special drum set that his tech set up for him.

Meanwhile, Grohl's bandmate (and Foo Fighters drummer) Taylor Hawkins says McCartney "hadn't even heard of the song" when he came in to record it with the band.

As for that mystery pop star on the album, the band still hasn't spilled the beans, but Grohl did rule out Adele and Taylor Swift, two popular guesses amongst fans. "He did two takes". After a day to discuss, Grohl and producer Greg Kurstin found a good backup part on one of the songs and had planned to keep it their "own dirty little secret" until Grohl opened his mouth.

You can pick up Concrete and Gold starting September 15, and if you're quick, grab some tickets to their massive United States tour kicking off October 7th in San Bernardino, California.

There is a very special guest on the upcoming Foo Fighters album.
