Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has said he is not under extra pressure to deliver this season and says he is "on fire" ahead of the new season.

Mourinho confirmed yesterday that the club were in talks about re-signing the Swede for the second half of the new campaign.

Discussing the deal, Fosu-Mensah said: "The manager spoke to me about coming down to join Crystal Palace and it was clear that he wanted me to be part of his squad which as a player gives you a great feeling straight away".

Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez returns to the Premier League after spells in Spain and Germany.

"I must now repay that back by putting in some good performances for the club".

Leicester City's triumph two years ago has shown us that any team with the right personnel, management and good luck against injuries, can challenge for and win the title; however, for this season I believe that the victor will come from a group of seven teams which I will tag as the contenders.

Phil Neville thinks Chelsea have handed United a boost in their bid to win the Premier League by selling them Nemanja Matic.

"If Nathaniel Chalobah or Ruben Loftus-Cheek were still there they could get rid of Matic and play a younger kid".

Will feel he has had to graft harder than most to get another chance in the Premier League after his dismissals by Newcastle and Norwich. He is probably the best in England alongside N'Golo Kante.

Chelsea will find it hard to successfully defend the title that Antonio Conte won by seven points in his debut season in England.

"Is Tiemoue Bakayoko a similar type of player to Matic?" "And, in some ways, I'm glad it's not the Premier League holding that particular record".

"He was very clear, by showing what he did previous year, that it was not enough for him", Mourinho told reporters on Friday.

"He was good in some games, inexperienced in others".

Comparisons have been drawn to Thierry Henry, but even Arsenal's prolific striker took time to adjust to English physicality, failing to score in his first eight games after his arrival from Juventus. "It's only positive things - it's an important moment for me".
