Police believe she is trying to reunite with a man who trafficked her earlier this year.

Malia Jenae Carbaugh was a human trafficking victim earlier this year and police worry she may be victimized again, said Beaverton police spokesman Officer Mike Rowe.

The Oregonian/OregonLive reported Friday (https://goo.gl/TAH3GX ) that Malia Carbaugh ran away from home Thursday. She lives with her parents in Portland and Oregon City.

Jackson, who allegedly pimped the girl out in California and Nevada, was arrested in California on the charge of trafficking a minor for sex.

Investigators confirmed she had a plane ticket for a Spirit Airlines flight from Portland International Airport to Las Vegas.

Carbaugh ran away in July and was found in Los Angeles by police investigating a sex trafficking operation.

Jackson has prior arrests for sex trafficking.

Carbaugh is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Detective Chad Optiz at 971-563-7545.
