Priyanka Gandhi Vadra diagnosed with dengue fever, admitted in Delhi hospital

Congress President Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram hospital here, after being diagnosed with Dengue.

Priyanka was admitted to the medical institution on Wednesday.

"Priyanka Vadra developed fever and then tested positive for dengue".

Her treatment is being monitored by chest medicine consultant Arup Basu, according to reports. "She was brought to the hospital on the evening of August 23", said Dr DS Rana, chairperson of the hospital's board of management.

So far, 657 cases of dengue have been recorded, with almost 325 patients from the NCR being admitted and 332 from neighbouring states.

The most number of dengue cases are from areas under South Delhi Municipal Corporation.

A 12-year-old boy had succumbed to dengue on August 1 at the SGRH, the first death due to the vector-borne disease reported in the city this season. They have reported the highest number of 64 cases, followed by 42 cases in areas of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
