"I'm invested. I know and feel what they feel", McDermott said, referring to Bills fans.

Despite having played with several quarterbacks in the NFL, you always seemed to be a favorite target of whoever was throwing you the football.

Check back with Spectrum News as we will update this story throughout the day. I told you, I honestly believe he's a Hall of Famer. Jordan Matthews is a starting receiver. So you have that look. However, as I noted in looking in past comparables, his early draft status and those horrific stats don't necessarily mean we can write him off. "It's our best interest".

In the final year of his rookie deal, Watkins could have left the Bills with just a third-round comp pick at the most - or he could have had a good season and the Bills could have franchised or re-signed potentially one of the league's most talented receivers. White now projects as the Bills' top cornerback this season with Gaines likely to start opposite him. Both players will get to see what they look like in their new uniforms up close and personal when the Eagles host the Bills on Thursday in preseason play. "With E.J. and what he's done with his career, we thought that he would give us a chance as well at the corner position". All of the moves have been designed at getting him into a better place. And when Watkins has been out of the lineup over the past two seasons, Taylor's yards per attempt suffers a devastating drop: 8.8 to 6.6. In his first two National Football League seasons, Darby started 29 games for the Bills and registered 137 tackles (121 solo), 2 interceptions and 33 passes defensed. And their last one, Josh Reynolds, is a rookie who is raw.

Watkins' future in Buffalo was already in question after the Bills declined to pick up his fifth-year contract option in May.

Still, if you're keeping count the Eagles have three Bills starters on defense, the others linebacker Nigel Bradham and cornerback Ron Brooks, now nursing a strained hamstring.

Matthews was selected in the second round of the 2014 draft out of Vanderbilt. In three seasons with the Bills in 37 games, he had 153 catches for 2,459 yards and 17 touchdowns. Matthews has been the Eagles most dependable receiver - even before the Carson Wentz era took over - but a mix of career-low numbers in 2016 plus the Eagles additions of Alshon Jeffrey and Torrey Smith made the 25-year-old more expendable.
