Ivanka Trump calling out "racism, white supremacy and neo-nazis" is the most specific language used by a member of the Trump family.

"He has to move away from that sort of "Bannon-bart" nonsense", Scaramucci said, apparently combining Bannon's name with Breitbart, the website that Bannon ran before joining Trump's campaign previous year. Following an eruption of violence in the college town where one person was killed and 19 people were injured after a vehicle hit protesters leaving a rally.

Trump said at a press conference that, "We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence on many sides".

Trump's response was criticized by politicians on both sides of the aisle for failing to name white supremacist or alt-right groups involved in the protests.

Around the same time, Gabriel Sherman of NY magazine reported that Trump was overheard on a hot mic telling Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo that "Rupert's been a lot better to me than Roger ever was".

"It's actually terrorism and whether it's domestic or worldwide terrorism, with the moral authority of the presidency, you have to call that stuff out", he said. "Let the country hear it and let the world hear it".

On Sunday morning, short-lived, recently-ousted White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci gave his first interview since his departure from the Donald Trump administration.

"Here's the thing: Whether I was the White House communications director or not, I don't think you're gonna change the president".

"I made an unforced error that made it easy to dismiss me", he said of the New Yorker interview. "And what he did is he called on all americans to take a firm stance against it", said Trump National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster. "We can not tolerate this kind of bigotry, this kind of hatred".

"You also got this sort of Bannon-bart influence in there, which I think is a snag on the president", Scaramucci said. During that time they do not engage in social media.
