The CW schedules 2-night event for 4-series Arrowverse crossover

Last year, the CW's big Arrow/Flash/Supergirl/Legends of Tomorrow crossover took over the network for four straight nights-well, more like three and a little bit-of alien-punching glory. "We felt that in this particular case, we already had Flash and Legends paired".

Though Supergirl hasn't really been a part of the fray for its first two seasons (it was technically a part of the Invasion event a year ago, but served more as a lead-in than anything), it will finally be joining the rest of the hero shows in full fledged crossover glory.

About the two night schedule, Pedowitz went on to say it's a "Tight, concise way of doing it". While that setup was a success, broadcast channel President Mark Pedowitz thought the Fall 2017 plan would prove to be "tighter". "Next year, we might go back to four nights". Supergirl and Arrow will kick things off Monday night (this is a one-time move for Arrow, don't panic), followed up by The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow on Tuesday. "But hopefully this season everybody will just get to know them and get to respect them and accept them for who they are before we start making other moves". "They're all big episodic productions, and this will be even bigger". He did tease that "romance will be in the air".

Arrow Season 5 premieres on Thursday, October 11 at 9/8c.

The Arrowverse premieres the week of October 9th on The CW.

Pedowitz didn't give any plot details on what that the crossover will entail.

The next season of the CW's superhero universe will begin with Supergirl season 3 on Monday, October 9 at 8/7c on The CW. The Flash spun off from Arrow and premiered in 2014, with Legends of Tomorrow kicking off midseason in 2016, while Supergirl joined the network - and The CW's multiverse - a year ago as well.
