The Oklahoma City Thunder will be getting national television coverage for their season opener for the 2017-18 season and will once again play on Christmas Day.

The rest of the regular season schedule should be released soon. As a result, the Thunder's first game of the season will be on October 19, at home, against the New York Knicks. The game will start at 7 p.m. CT and be broadcast exclusively on TNT, as Chesapeake Energy Arena gets its first chance to rain down its usual level of raucous energy to celebrate the start of the team's 10th season.

The Thunder, for the 8th straight season will play a Christmas Day game taking on the Rockets in OKC. Last season, the Phoenix Suns played the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs in Mexico City.
