Monaco may be close to signing former Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, but they still do not want to sell Thomas Lemar to Arsenal.

Monaco are reportedly ready to make a £45million bid to seal the transfer of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez and could use the Gunners' interest in Thomas Lemar in negotiations.

Arsenal have had three bids rejected by Monaco for the 21-year-old midfielder as the Monégasques have set a price tag over the £100m mark.

Fellow Premier Liverpool and Manchester City have also reportedly quickened up their interest in the France worldwide.

"Leicester know my thoughts, but I will continue to give my best for the club as I always have".

Real Madrid are said to be plotting a move for the player but Le 10 Sport claim Monaco will demand £162m for their playmaker.

"All the players who were important last season are important to keep for the club", Jardim said, as quoted by the Express.

A fast and skilful player, the France worldwide scored nine goals in Ligue 1 last season but it was in a creative sense that he impressed the most as he laid on 70 chances for his team-mates and completed 84% of the passes that he attempted.

"Of course, Fabinho and Lemar are older, they may be a bit more mature, but Kylian, even these last two days, he's been working well".

Add to that the fact that PSG have gone and signed Neymar, and they now look clear favourites for the Ligue 1 title next season, and Monaco know they need to sign a huge name this summer - hence the interest in Alexis.
