Arsenal new-boy Sead Kolasinac is an "absolute animal" according to Theo Walcott, after the defender helped the Gunners to victory over Chelsea on Sunday.

Kolasinac made a dream debut for Arsenal by scoring in the Gunners" Community Shield victory over Chelsea on Sunday and following the game, teammate Walcott has gone on to praise the Serbian worldwide as an "animal'.

Kolasinac headed home a late equaliser following Pedro's red card after Victor Moses had put the Blues ahead.

The 24-year-old joined the club in June on a free transfer after six years at Schalke, during which time he earned a variety of nicknames including "The Destroyer", "The Tank" and "The Bosnian Hulk".

It was hard not to be impressed with Sead Kolasinac's thrusting performance against Chelsea in the Community Shield, with the summer signing putting in a powerful display complete with a goal.

That came as no surprise to Walcott, who also came on as a substitute and scored Arsenal's first penalty in the shootout, and has been admiring the new recruit in training.

"Honestly, he is an absolute animal", said the Arsenal forward. 'He's incredible. I see him in the gym every day and you can tell he looks after himself well, he eats the right food and he's professional.

'You can see the power when he's got the ball, and his pace. It's attractive to watch and he's a great addition to the squad... trust me, yeah, he's not easy to get around - he's quite wide as well.

"Trust me, he's not easy to get around - he's quite wide as well", he said. He fits perfectly for the Premier League, he's absolutely ideal. I'm sure his physical attributes are going to be key for us this season. "This league is the best and I think he could be one of the best in this league".

In a summer where full-backs have become big business, securing Kolasinac's signature for free could be seen as a shrewd move by manager Arsene Wenger. 'It's a bit different, it's new for us and the fans will be up for it. You've got to be patient sometimes with this formation we're playing. He's going to show something different.
