Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho admits the Red Devils are looking at bringing back Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the second half of the season.

Ibrahimovic scored 28 goals in 46 appearances for Jose Mourinho's side since signing on a free last summer but his debut Premier Leauge season was cut short when the Swede picked up a serious knee injury in a Europa League clash with Anderlecht in April.

Ibrahimovic's one-year deal at Old Trafford expired in June and was not extended following the injury.

Mourinho goes into his second season at Old Trafford needing significant improvement in the Premier League after United finished sixth in May.

"You know, in my initial analysis coming from January and progressively through the other months, I was thinking about four players", the United boss said before facing the Hammers on Sunday.

"I just think naturally a manager in the second season knows the players better, knows the club better".

"Yes, we can (win the title), Europa League is not Champions League, obviously it is more difficult to win the Champions League than the Europa League but also motivation is higher, also my hard work last season to motivate the Europa League with ambition and commitment and responsibility, my work was hard at that level".

He has made some important investments over the summer, signing Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic, whilst noting that he still wants to bring in a winger before the window shuts.

"I don't think I am in a position to be moaning and crying". Speaking on "The Keys & Gray Show", Moyes said: "I've said it many times, we tried to talk Gareth Bale out of going to Real Madrid".

"We have added three players, one defender, one midfielder and one attacking player", the Portuguese boss explained. "I think we are ready". I don't say the league because I have been in this league a long time.

"We got a central midfielder, we got a striker".

"The other 25 percent (of the transfer targets) will be another player playing from the sides".

"If we cannot strengthen the team in these areas we have players that we can trust". "Last season, two of them were not in Europe", Mourinho said. We have confidence levels of a team that won a European competition and is back in the Champions League.
