Insider warns Arsenal preferred target to replace Alexis Sanchez will cost £50m

Arsenal are free to sign Malcom this month after Tottenham withdrew their interest in signing the £45m-rated Bordeaux attacker, according to the Daily Mail.

Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol confirmed that Arsenal are interested in the Bordeuax striker but warned the Ligue 1 club are hoping to obtain a transfer fee in the region of £50m for Malcolm.

In the meantime, Malcom is being linked with three Premier League sides: Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Mkhitaryan is low on confidence and struggling under Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho, but if he could recapture the form he displayed during his final season at Borussia Dortmund-he bagged 23 goals and 32 assists during the 2015/16 campaign-he would be a sensational player for Arsenal. Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the winger but it seems that Malcom has a preference.

"I maintain what I have said many times that he should stay until the end of the season".

The most likely English destination for Malcom is Arsenal and the Gunners have received a boost in their move for the Brazilian starlet.

The first club to be linked with Malcom was Tottenham, this was before the transfer window opened, in December.

"But in relation to Alexis Sanchez I don't say a word".

Wenger was cautious when asked about Sanchez's future, refusing to deny that United have launched an offer of £25m for the Chilean.

"You summed it up very well", replied Wenger, who refused to sanction Sanchez's sale last summer because he could not get a replacement signed up.

The Premier League leaders believe Alexis is determined to work with Pep Guardiola and that he would reject any moves elsewhere.

It would represent a significant U-turn if Sanchez were to do anything other than move to the Etihad Stadium.
