Donald Trump Trusts 'Fox & Friends' Over His Own Intelligence Community

It's been a busy Saturday on Twitter for President Donald Trump, who is not golfing at his Mar-a-Lago resort this weekend, with the president now pushing a Friday evening report on Fox News stating he was spied upon before being elected.

The second unusual aspect of the president's tweet is that the report was based on anonymous sources-the same type of government leaks that Trump has condemned. That claim has been disputed by Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

"Fox and Friends" began Monday's broadcast with a 'bombshell report about the unmasking of the Trump team'.

"Was the brother of John Podesta paid big money to get the sanctions on Russian Federation lifted?"

It was just weeks ago that the president opened up a can of worms with an explosive series of Saturday morning tweets accusing former President Barack Obama of personally having a hand in wiretapping Trump Tower.

Earlier on Monday, "Fox & Friends" featured Newt Gingrich in a segment alleging possible ties of John Podesta and his brother to the Russians.

Here are Trump's tweets.

The post seems to reference hacked DNC emails that appeared to show then-interim Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile communicating with a Clinton aide about a question CNN planned to ask her during a town hall. "This is unprecedented", Trump tweeted at around 8:50 a.m.
