Bayern Munich could make summer swoop for Chelsea winger

Manchester City are confident they can sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez next summer, with the Chilean entering his past year in contract with the north London club.

However, as the months have rolled on through the campaign, it has looked likely that Sanchez will depart from the Emirates, as he has been embroiled in a contract standoff with the North Londoners for most of the season.

Goal add that City also face competition from Bayern Munich for the Gunners key man.

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been in phenomenal form this season, scoring 30 times and assisting 13. With Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery both entering the swan-song of their careers, Abendzeitung believe that Willian could be a worthy acquisition.

While they would no doubt like to keep him, Arsenal's preference of him joining Bayern over City is understandable.

If Sanchez does leave, it's imperative for the Gunners that he be sold overseas.

City director of football Txiki Begiristain travelled to the capital last week shortly after their deal for Bernardo Silva was announced.

And according to Goal, City are confident of signing the Arsenal star when the transfer window opens this summer.

But talks held last weekend in London have reportedly left Guardiola's side with the view they're in the driving seat to land Sanchez.
