Outgoing Chelsea captain John Terry "could not care less" about the criticism levelled at him for the manner of his substitution against Sunderland on Sunday (21 May) in his final game at Stamford Bridge.

Remarkably, Kante did not win any player of the month awards from the Premier League.

He's departed Stamford Bridge a hero, but John Terry's final season with Chelsea was an anticlimax on a personal level.

Chelsea claimed a Premier League-record 30 victories under the stewardship of Conte, including 13 in a row from October 1, to finish seven points ahead of second-placed Tottenham.

One punter who attended the game predicted something similar regarding Terry and made an inquiry with Paddy Power before placing a £25 bet over the phone. So if you have a goalkeeper, number one, is he going to come off in the first minute? "I couldn't care less [about the criticism], I promise you, ' Terry said, according to The Daily Mail".

But William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said: "As a responsible betting operator, we would never consider offering odds on a substitution, period".

Terry is already 36-years old and does not have a lot of time playing time left and the likes of West Brom, Swansea and Bournemouth could easily afford his current wage of around £50,000 a week. I have put in calls to Jamie Carragher, Frank Lampard, to loads of ex-players.

Sir Alex, who won 13 Premier League titles, said: "I just wonder if they realise the job he's done". Physically I was in bits to be fair.

It was duly revealed that the whole thing was in fact Terry's idea, with Black Cats manager David Moyes also agreeing before kick-off to have one of his players hoof the ball out of touch at the appropriate juncture.

"Physically I know I can play on".

Cape Town - Arsenal failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in 20 years as Liverpool and Manchester City clinched top-four places.

Then Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho explained Drogba's early substitution was due to a knee injury and had the approval of Dick Advocaat, who had steered Sunderland to safety that season. "I hope to continue in the best way", he said.
