Oklahoma City police are investigating an Uber driver's complaint that a state senator "made advances on her during transit", The Oklahoman has confirmed. According to the police report, which redacts the suspect's name, the driver was driving a passenger from his hotel to the local Pump Bar when the dude started getting aggressive, "grabbing her forcefully and kissing on the neck while she was driving".

According to the police report, an officer was approached at the Oncue at NW 23rd and Santa Fe by the Uber driver, who told him that she was unsure what she needed to do, but had been assaulted on Monday, June 26. She reported she later took the customer to The Pump Bar in Oklahoma City. She then said she dropped him off at 10:36 p.m.at a hotel off the expressway, and then went to a nearby bar, where she was able to use the basic information she had about the rider to find him online.

Marlatt's attorney called the allegations shocking, adding the state senator's legal team will consult with Uber to sort out the situation.

She also told the officer she was an Uber driver. "He was, he really wants to get to the bottom of this. We're trying to get to the bottom of this and figure out what's going on", Gifford said.

Uber condemned the incident but did not identify the suspect. "We are working with the Oklahoma City Police Department and will provide any information to them that would be helpful for their ongoing investigation".

In 2014, Marlatt was arrested for a DUI-related charge.

When the deputy asked him how much he had to drink his initial answer was, "no more than anybody else".
