Boro had been linked with Newcastle United keeper Karl Darlow but have announced they have agreed a fee with West Ham United, believed to be £4.5million.

Randolph had been informed his first-team opportunities at the London Stadium were set to be limited next season after the arrival of England keeper Joe Hart from Manchester City on loan. Indeed it is exciting times for fans, but not so much for Darren Randolph.

Rob Elliot will be the only Irish goalkeeper playing in the Premier League next season as it has emerged that West Ham United have agreed to sell goalkeeper Darren Randolph to relegated Middlesbrough.

The Republic of Ireland global will travel to Rockliffe Park, the club's training facility and sports complex on Saturday, ahead of completing the transfer.

Dimi, who kept 21 clean sheets during Boro's 2015-16 promotion-winning season, signed a new one-year deal.

"The 30-year-old will bring a wealth of experience, having made nearly 350 career appearances since making his debut for Charlton in the Premier League 10 years ago", added the Boro statement.

"He will follow Jonny Howson, Cyrus Christie, Martin Braithwaite, Connor Roberts (loan), and Britt Assombalonga into the club", said a Boro statement.
