The Chile worldwide posted on Instagram yesterday that he was feeling "sick", without specifying anything, though the timing of the post reportedly raised some fears around the Emirates Stadium. No move has been made thus far, but a bout of "flu" which has prolonged Sanchez's return to the Arsenal squad after his Confederations Cup exploits has anxious the Gunner faithful.

Uncertainty has surrounded Sanchez's future this summer, with the Chilean yet to sign an extension to his current contract, which is due to expire next year.

"He has flu yes, I had him on text yesterday", he said.

Sanchez took to Instagram on Friday morning to post a picture of him sat wrapped in a scarf and looking miserable, with the caption "sick".

"He will come back as soon as possible and we were in touch with him and his doctor and he has no basic problem apart from the fact that he should come back tomorrow, but he comes back on Tuesday".

The post Sanchez not for sale, insists Wenger appeared first on The Independent Uganda:.

"There is no development [on his future] - he is staying, of course". "But we are active, we are working hard and I think we have done well with Kolasinac, we have done well with Lacazette and we are continuing to work". "I am responsible for the global policy of the club but for the players it is different". "But I think you have always to be on alert every day, because a good opportunity might turn up". It is a secret conversation. We speak in English. "He is flying back as soon as he is in a position to".

Wenger also dismissed speculation that Sanchez could be faking his illness, suggesting once again that he believes the media are making a story out of nothing. Your job is built on mistrust and mine is built on trust. "That's why I prefer my side [of the story]".
