Trump Nominates Ambassadors to Italy, Czech Republic

President Donald Trump has picked Wisconsin Republican activist Steve King to be US ambassador to the Czech Republic.

King was a Walworth County supervisor from 1981-85, and he ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in 1988.

Eisenberg is a co-founder and managing partner of Ironhill Investments. He was also employed as a partner at Goldman Sachs.

King has previous experience working for the Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) where he conducted inquiries into civil right violations.

King was a delegate at the 2016 Republican National Convention, one of 36 candidates bound by state party rules to support Ted Cruz, according to Ballotopedia. Earlier in his career, King had been named Special Assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture for liaison between the USDA and the Agriculture Committees of the House and Senate.
